Teed was honored to be nominated and named into the Inaugural Class of 40 Under 40 Music Educators in the Country by Yamaha Music. The Wakeland Percussion Program has worked closely with the top clinicians and composers in the country having commissioned multiple works and featured many guest artists in their concerts while also experiencing consistent growth since Mr. Since his arrival, the Wakeland Band and Percussion Program has thrived earning Bronze at the 2019 5A UIL State Marching Competition, named a Bands of America 3A Regional Division Champion, receiving an invitation to perform at the 74th Midwest Clinic and Convention and a reissued invitation due to COVID-19 to perform at the 75th Midwest Clinic and Convention in Chicago, IL in December 20, being named as a National Winner in the Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors Competition and Commended Winner in the Mark of Excellence National Percussion Ensemble Honors Competition, and consistently earning superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-reading.

Brian Teed joined the Wakeland Band and Percussion Program as the Director of Percussion and Associate Director of Bands in the Summer of 2018.
